What was Christianity like before Catholicism?

, let’s give voice to a Christian, from the first century, who grew up in Antioch 30 AD – 107 AD (the same place where Christ’s followers first called Christians), among his phrases we can find

3rd Bishop of Antioch (the first St. Peter), baptized by Paul and a disciple of St. John the Evangelist,

“I would like to be crushed like wheat, so that I may be offered as

pure.” (They already used wafers in worship)

“Those who corrupt the family will not enter the Kingdom of God” (marriage is sacred, a sacrament)

“My spirit is nothing, but associated

the cross,

it is a scandal to the unbelievers, but for you it is a of salvation and virtue” (they identified themselves with the cross)

“Take note of those who say false opinions the grace of the gift of Jesus Christ that has come to us, and see them as those who oppose the will of God. They are not interested in love, the widow, the orphan, the oppressed, the chained or the free, the hungry or the thirsty. (It’s not enough to say you believe in Jesus, you have to prove it with WORKS)

“Mary’s virginity was hidden from the prince of this world” (he referred to the mother of Jesus as the Virgin Mary)

“I find no pleasure in the food of corruption and the delights of the present life. I will have the bread of God, which is the flesh of Jesus Christ, of the seed of : I will have his blood for a drink, which is love that cannot be broken. (I thought the bread and were REALLY the BODY AND BLOOD of Jesus Christ)

“Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but the day of the Lord (Domenicus), in which our life is blessed by Him and by His death and resurrection” (they observed SUNDAY as a day of worship)

“Everywhere the bishop appears, there are the people; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is also the Catholic Church”

(Oh, boy! The early Christian church was Catholic)

“The bishop is greater than the priest, and the priest is greater than the deacon. Let them respect the bishop, as they already do, and let this union and concord be as a hymn raised by Jesus Christ to the Father” (There was a hierarchy)

“I greet the Great Church, the one in the territory of the ROMANS, … the one that PRESIDES in unity and love” (I respected the Church of Rome, as the one that had the presidency over the others)

“Pray that we may be imitators of Jesus Christ, in his purity and chastity, but those men and women who to get married, let them do so as their bishop orders” (priestly celibacy already existed – although it was not obligatory)
He died a martyr, October 17, 107 AD.

Taking away the opulence and legitimacy he gained at the beginning of the 4th century and later,
